Grow trees. Grow the connection.
Canopeum is a nonprofit organization supporting community tree nurseries, ecological restoration, and applied research.
We connect communities, landowners, watershed associations, and businesses—and follow our trees from seed collection through planting and ongoing care.
Our resources serve this mission. Any surplus is reinvested in the work rather than distributed to owners or shareholders.
THE WANDER SERIES
Real skills. Real restoration. A little adventure.
An outdoor, live-action ecological game where people of different ages grow saplings, build habitats, reuse materials, and share what they discover.
Each activity tent connects science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Activity cards guide the work; our in-house Forest Stewards verify completed actions.
Two-hour sessions scheduled across all four seasons at our founding Bedford site.

Planting is the beginning.
Our trees join planting projects and larger restoration initiatives, with a focus on watersheds and ecological corridors. We stay connected to the people and places where they grow.

We are developing interactive restoration corridors where participants contribute to ongoing care and monitoring. These records support measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV), helping us understand what is thriving and where more attention is needed.

Explore a company partnership
A Bedford program partnership supports a group of 16 participants through 80 hours of programming. Seven program partnership spots remain.
Your investment supports program delivery, restoration, ongoing care, monitoring, and reporting. Activity cards record contributions, and our in-house Forest Stewards verify completed actions.
Partner benefits include impact reporting, social media content, community recognition, an annual Living Legacy report, and two corporate experiences each year. We are developing the live impact dashboard and company leaderboards.
These ecological and social assets are grounded in documented work and monitored outcomes. They are not offered as certified carbon credits or tradable financial assets. Scope, timelines, and reporting are agreed together.

Receive native trees and shrubs free of charge. In return, welcome our team back for ongoing tree maintenance and monitoring.
How planting partnerships work
We agree on suitable species, planting arrangements, landowner permission, and ongoing site access before planting.
Our team returns at least twice a year—or more often as agreed—to maintain trees, assess survival and growth, and record progress through the interactive corridor monitoring system we are developing with the Wander Series.
Tree quantities, timing, and care between visits are established together.
